Really cool site. I think they still have some work to do with it because I ran into some issues after just a few minutes: 1. you can't scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, it cuts you off 2. I'd like to be able to view the details of an item from your shelf (or anyones shelf) before having to add it to my shelf

Genius. It's like pinterest for tracking things I want to buy!! This could be a really dangerous new hobby....I thought the site was great (once I got it to start working). It didn't work particularly well with Internet Explorer and kept making me login every time I clicked on an item. Perhaps readers will have better luck with Mozilla or Chrome. As for the items on your shelf, they were all beautiful, but the Anthropologie statement necklace really stood out the most to me. STUNNING. Thanks for sharing this great site! I can't wait to tell all my friends.

Just signed up and shared! I like the site and have figured out how to "shelf" items I want to watch... the only thing I'm confused about is how to follow other people's shelves! ReplyDeleteI started a shelf! This is amazing. I got sucked in. I wish it had more stores, I tried to do bebe, but it said it wasn't supported. What I found a little difficult was the transition to having to go to the actual page of the item, instead of like pinterest clicking "shelf-it" from a huge page of items and entering in my size manually. This seemed like an extra step that was unnecessary.

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of tracking the cost of my must - haves. However, the sizes are off. For example, when I added some shoes to my shelf, the sizes were in European sizes. So I had to actually Google the size conversation. Also when I add one item to my shelf and look at my shelf, there are multiples of the same item. I like that I can go shopping at multiple stores without going through each website. My favorite stores are Express, H&M, and Banana Republic.

ReplyDeleteI like the idea behind the site, and the easy useability like Pinterest, but, its another site that I have to add stuff to and check. If I really want something I will check back for it regardless. At first I was confused, but after a minute I found everything I needed and it is easy to use, and visually pleasing. A full crit of this site would require using it for more than 10 minutes though.

ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty neat site. I guess the days of missing sales are over as we speak. I loved the Promo page, I already got the "Shelf-It" bookmark. I tested it on two sites, one was not part of it yet and the other [Neiman Marcus] was. I am not sure about the choosing the price that we want to pay for the items, I would most likely use it as I monitor sales of items I want. When I saved the item, I clicked on the "View in Store" and instead of opening in a new tab it went directly there. I could have problems later on with that. I am a tab opener.

Great site but I found it difficult to see what stores works with this website (i.e., Steve Madden isn't set up on this site yet). It'd be easier if they listed it out that way I know which ones I can browse and add to my shelves easily. I'd also love the option to "follow" other people's shelves. Also when I click on your items in the shelf...I wish I had the option of getting directed to the website vs. just "adding" it to my self.

Maybe just a coincidence? I think this site will be fabulous around the holidays when sales and promotions are changing daily.

The site was great! I loved having all the promos culled together so you don't have to sift through all the retail emails. I have missed so many sales from JCREW and Bloomies b/c I ignored their multiple daily emails. Also the price tracker option is great!! Gives you a chance to be the first the grab that item right when it goes on sale. I would pick the Anthro earrings from your shelf for all the weddings I have coming up this year, including my own!!

I absolutely love the idea of this site! I think it'll end saving me a lot of time/effort and money, as I now either obsessively monitor items I want over several sites or get impatient and end up splurging for the full retail price. I especially love that it gives you the coupon code you need for the discount, eliminating the need to hunt one down.

I think it'll end saving me a lot of time/effort and money, as I now either obsessively monitor items I want over several sites or get impatient and end up splurging for the full retail price. I especially love that it gives you the coupon code you need for the discount, eliminating the need to hunt one down.
ReplyDeleteI do wish, however, that the site was more like Pinterest and able to "shelf" things directly from their site as opposed to downloading something additional. It's just one more step that may deter people from bothering to use the site.

I really like the idea of the site. And it's fun to use! I've never gone on any site like it. I would suggest a couple things:
ReplyDelete1) Instead of voice recorded tutorial, have something people can read. I had to stop and start the recording like 4 times because I was interrupted by other things. It was kind of annoying.
2) Under my shelf of things, some items were put on there like 4 times..I "shelfed" a bracelet from Ann Taylor and under my shelf it shows that bracelet 4 times. I don't know why it did that.
Those modcloth bowls are fabulous. Would love to get those!

WOW! This is a great site. I am so glad someone thought of it. It's like Pinterest meets Red Laser! And promos.....holiday shopping just got way easier. ReplyDeleteAs a shopaholic who hardly ever buys anything regular-priced, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this site! It's so great yet so dangerous for the wallet, haha! I already signed up and have a ton of stuff on my shelves. I'd totally pick the J. Crew polka dot sequin top on your shelf. It's so cute! I love to shop at J. Crew, Zara, Ann Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, ASOS, Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Nine West, Target, and The Limited, so I'm glad to see a few places I like already on the site. The only thing I would like is if we could type in a brand/designer we are looking for and all of those items pop up. If we can select multiple pieces and then come back and set our price points, that would be great too because doing it one item at a time is time-consuming.

Love the idea behind Shelf and how I can track the price from past to present and "set" my own price for the items! The only thing I didn't like was that when I logged in with FB Connect it didn't redirect me. I'd choose the J. Crew green patterened skinnies you chose. I've been eyeing those for some time now!

What I found confusing - I logged in with Facebook and then there was no prompt for "getting started" so it was confusing what to do next.

I absolutely love the idea of this site! I love that there are inspiration items and I found a lot of things by clicking on that tab. I wish you could go to the site/product when you click on an item. On some items I would have liked to know more about the product or brand but it wouldn't let me click through to view the actual item name. My favorite new store on here is ModCloth and of course I love J. Crew and Anthropologie!

I like the site and the concept, it is a lot like hukkster but a little more confusing. I think the more time you use it the easier it becomes. The tutorial video is helpful.
