On Saturday my family and I ran a half marathon. It was my second time running a 1/2, but for some reason, this time was SO much more difficult. My knee was killing me, I was tired, about a thousand people {literally} passed me and my time was not so stellar. It was amazing{ly hard and I cried when I saw the finish line}!!

Good for you to finish while you were not feeling well. Congratulations! I'm not a runner, I tried running a 5K relay and I ended up having to go to the chiropractor for months because I over arched my back and also broke my finger. Yes, broke my finger....long story! ha ha!

The leopard and the pants goes really well and the orange in the shoe is adding a nice contrast. I wish I could carry off lipcolors like you. You might try a coral lip color with this outfit.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if people tell you this very often, but it is so refreshing to see a fashion blogger who is open about her faith as well as immersed in it, and manages to be trendy and timeless, while remaining modest. Your life is inspiring to me and I love reading your blog daily because it reminds me that balancing my faith with my daily life doesn't have to be a struggle. It also is a wonderful reminder that modesty is in no way out of style!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the half! Your running outfit is so cute :)

I feel your pain...literally. I ran my second half this past January and I felt the EXACT same way! I almost cried when I saw the finish line too because my knees were hurting so badly. It was my worst run ever and I was so bummed to feel that way after all the training I did but I guess in the end...at least we did it! Oh and your running outfit is totally adorable..of course!
ReplyDeleteOne more thing...just saw your finish time and I think we even finished at the exact same time!
ReplyDeleteI'm running my first half on July 28th. I'm nervous since I haven't run like this since I was in high school (5 years ago) but you look great and I'll be so happy just to finish it!
ReplyDeleteKari

ReplyDeleteI adore all of your looks and such a fabulous sense of style! You inspire me to mix it up a little bit.
ReplyDeleteAre you the runner in bright yellow top? If so, where did you get the cute running skirt? LOVE it too.
